Newell Palmer have made a donation of £500 in support of former Lane Wealth Management owner, Edwin Lane, who is completing a 1,000 mile cycling challenge in aid of Oddballs Foundation.
Edwin is taking part in a Summer 2018 Challenge which starts on June 8th. He will be part of a team, who have dubbed themselves ‘The Numbnuts’, that is cycling 1,000 miles from London’s Twickenham Rugby Ground to the Nou Camp Football Stadium in Barcelona over a period of 9 days.
The team will be taking in southern England and the western French coast before crossing the infamous Pyrenees Mountains and navigating hilly northern Spain. Averaging over 100 miles per day, they hope to complete the trip by June 16th.
They have set themselves an ambitious target of raising £35,000 for the charity and so far they have managed 6% of that target, £2,325. If you’d like to make a donation to the challenge then please click here.
Oddballs is trying to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer which is the most common cancer affecting men between the ages of 18-45 years. Research has shown that 95% of “identified” cases are curable – but awareness IS the key.
